Ages: 4–99
Players: 1 or 2
Skills developed
Visual attention, focus, concentration, contextual thinking, matching, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and social and emotional development.
Setup
Take out the boards, challenge booklet and fruit cards. For multiplayer play, share the components appropriately. Give each player a board and apple, pear and peach cards in yellow, red and green. Start with the first challenge in the booklet.
How to play
- A: Place the fruit in the indicated spaces.
- B: Place the fruit in the grey spaces.
- C, D and E: Locate the positions shown on a section of the board within the complete board, then place the fruit.
- F, G and H: Place fruit whose exact positions are given, then use the uncoloured fruit clues to place the remaining pieces.
- I, J and K: Use the crosses (X), showing where fruit cannot go, to find the possible positions.
- M: Use the clues to determine exact positions where areas are shared by more than one fruit.
Scoring and hints
When playing competitively, start the same challenge together. The first to finish earns 1 point; players finishing simultaneously receive half a point each. The highest total at the end wins.
If a clue shows only part of the board, it may fit in several positions. Consider all possibilities and use the other clues to find the correct solution.
